Wedding Coordinator

A planner builds the wedding with you over months — concept, budget, choosing vendors. A coordinator takes the wedding you have already planned and runs it, so that on the day itself nobody is calling the florist or chasing the photographer. I do both, and most couples come to me for the second: everything is booked, and they want someone holding the timeline so they can actually be present at their own wedding.

Six to twelve months is comfortable, and Saturdays in May, June and September go first in Prague — often more than a year out. That said, I keep room for late bookings, so if your date is close, ask anyway. Some of the best weddings I have run came together in eight weeks.

That is most of my work. I speak Ukrainian, English, Czech and Russian, and I take on the Czech-speaking side of your wedding — the venue, the register office, the vendors — so you never have to negotiate in a language you don't have. Your guests hear their own language; the paperwork happens in mine.

Yes. Marrying here as a foreign couple means certified translations, apostilles, a certificate of legal capacity to marry, and an appointment at the right register office — and the requirements differ depending on your citizenship. I tell you exactly which documents you need and by when, book the registrar, and come with you if you would rather not go alone.

It depends which package fits — morning and ceremony coordination, full wedding-day coordination, or an individual plan for a small wedding or a wedding for two. Each is priced differently, and a large wedding across two venues is not the same job as an intimate ceremony. Tell me your date, venue and guest count and you will get a firm number rather than a range.

Either. After years in Prague I have florists, photographers, musicians and caterers I trust and will gladly introduce you to — and I take no commission from them, so the recommendation is an honest one. If you have already chosen your own, I work with them exactly the same way.

There is a plan B before there is a problem. Every outdoor ceremony I coordinate has a covered alternative agreed with the venue in advance, and I hold contacts for backup vendors in each category. If something goes wrong on the day, you will usually hear about it after it has been fixed — that is the whole point of having a coordinator.

Yes — castles and chateaux across Bohemia, Český Krumlov, Karlovy Vary and the surrounding countryside are regular ground for me. Travel outside Prague is quoted with the package. Further afield, just ask.
